Hello! My name is Kate and welcome to my website and business, centred around my kitchen in Anstruther, in the picturesque East Neuk of Fife.
Candles and scent are a passion of mine and over the last year I have turned my hobby into a small business I can run from home whilst I work for my husband’s fish business and look after our dog, Fergus.
Why candles you ask? Candles have long been a source of comfort and relaxation, with the gentle glow and flicker of the flame pacifying the senses; generating a sense of well-being. Scented candles can also be beneficial while practicing yoga, meditation etc.
Candles also have the ability to change the atmosphere of a room, transforming a dinner party, bath-time, or any time to promote a perfect ambience. Scented candles also give your room a sense of style, each scent sparking a different mood.

Choosing your go-to scent is like having good friends: each one is very different, but you love each one in a different and individual way and choosing scent is the same; gather your own exclusive scents for every occasion.
I have curated 6 scents so far, but I am always looking to refresh or change these so your thoughts on your favourite scents are always appreciated. I’m currently testing Black Fig and Vetiver for late Spring/early Summer, and I hope to introduce a further coastal scent by then, too. I’ll keep you posted.
I love to get feedback from you and it makes me feel more connected to exactly what you, my customer, really wants, so please leave me a review or DM me with your thoughts. I would very much appreciate this in order to expand my library of scents. Running a small business is a constantly evolving process and you are at the heart of this.
All candles are made with 100% vegetable (soy) wax. I use premium fragrance oils that comply with all relevant, strict regulations and none are tested on animals.
All jars can be washed and re-used around the home, if desired, or can be recycled. All jars can be returned to me for a refill at a reduced price (if you live in the Anstruther area for pick-up).
Please burn your chosen candle for at least 2 hours for the first burn to create a complete melted wax pool. This prevents tunnelling and lengthens the life of your candle. Do not burn your candles for more than 4 hours. Always trim the wick to 5mm after each burn. Always burn your candle on a flat, draught-free surface and never leave a candle unattended.
